INCLUSION & DIVERSITY

I have had the privilege of serving as President of The International Students Association. With the help of a formidable executive team we are able to make a tremendous I'm pact in the international student community. Part of our core objectives was inclusivity and diversity; we connected all international students on campus from various nationalities in our event and had fun doing so!

It is important that the USSU begins to truly reflect and represent the diversity of its members. For Instance currently in the USSU some international students, indigenous students (sponsored by band scholarships), and some students with student loans can't assume executive positions in their union; this is simply not fair! and it sure doesn't make the union inclusive enough for its members. As president of the USSU inclusion and diversity with be my top priority and I will eliminate all barriers to inclusion in the union.
